Nursery Teacher
Reporting to: Senior Nursery Teachers, Junior Managers and Senior Managers
Location: Two schools in London - SW15 and SW19
Salaries: For experienced & qualified staff
£29,000/annum (Experienced Level 3 & above with >1year of experience)
· + £1,000 Performance Related Bonus
Total salary + bonus = £30,000

We also employ unqualified staff wishing to study and those that have completed their L2, looking to study their L3.
For unqualified / L2 staff
£23,000/annum
· + £1,000 Performance Related Bonus
Total salary + bonus = £24,000
· + Paid for full training for Level 3
Working hours: Full time, Monday – Friday; 7:15am-5:15pm / 8am-6pm / 8:30am-6:30pm (1 hour lunch break + 15 min coffee/tea break)

Holiday - 20 days per year, plus the week while we are closed for Christmas & New Year and 8 bank holidays - Approx. 32 days a year in total
1 day off every 2 weeks. That is an extra 26 days off per year! A total of 58 days off per year!

We only promote internally. A Senior Nursery Teacher can earn up to £31,500 per year and Junior Managers £39,000 per year. We promoted 20 staff in the last 12 months!

Roles available are based within our baby rooms and main school. Duties and responsibilities
Ensure that the high standards and philosophy of the Nursery is always implemented in front of children, parents and other staff members.
Ensure that you are following the Early Years Foundation Stage, using all relevant paperwork to plan, observe, track and move children forward to their next stage of development
Being responsible for a key group of children, keeping an accurate record of their developments and achievements.
Write termly learning journeys for each child in your key group.
Being aware of each child’s individual care needs, including medical information, sleeping and dietary needs.
Record the children’s sleep times, eating habits and bottle-feeds and undertake weekly observations.
Preparation and completion of activities, both in the classroom and in the garden, to suit each child’s stage of development.
Ensure that the children are safe and safeguarding procedures are always adhered to.
Ensure children who are unwell are monitored in line with our sickness & temperature policies and that management are notified so arrangements can be made with the parents if they need to collect their child from the Nursery
Specific child care tasks
Provide toys, activities and equipment that is appropriate to each child’s developmental stage.
Sing, read stories and play games with the children.
Supervise at meal times, feeding and serving food, as necessary.
Change nappies at regular times throughout the day or when required.
Create displays with the children’s work and ensure that the classrooms always have displays up.
Wash up any painting materials or kitchen utensils used and clear up after activities.
Assisting in the induction process for new children who have just joined the Nursery.
Ensure that safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are always maintained.
Communicate regularly within the team, supporting other members of staff within your room and school.
Greet, approach and talk to parents every day.
Perform termly parent / teacher meetings – 3 per year.
Liaise with parents, carers or family members, forming professional relationships and share with them their child’s development.
To be flexible within working practices of the nursery, helping where required.
To work alongside management ensuring the standards and philosophy of the nursery are maintained.
To attend out of hours meetings, such as parent evenings, events and staff meetings
Always uphold the reputation and standards of the Nursery, both within working hours and outside.
