1:1 Teaching Assistant


£70 to £80 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: experience working with students with special educational needs

Vision for Education are urgently seeking a 1:1 teaching assistant, to work with post 14 students who have education health care plans for a variety of additional needs.

The Role

This role requires a teaching assistant who has extensive experience of supporting young people of adults who have a variety fo SEND within an education setting. This is a PART TIME, long term role every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week. Hours of work will be 8am to 3.30pm.

The successful applicant will have had previous experience in supporting individuals with SEND in a school setting.

The School / Setting

Based in Chesterfield this unique setting specialises in the education of students who have a variety of special educational needs. The team of staff are extremely passionate about providing the highest standard of education and care for their students and this is a value and ethos that the successful candidate will need to also embrace.


To be considered for this position you will need to have the following:

Experience of supporting SEND within a school setting
Experience suporting on a 1:1 basis
Experience of following EHCP’s
Experience of supporting a vulnerable children or adults
Be available on a part time basis Monday to Wednesday with a possibility of also being needed on a Thursday and Friday
Be flexible and creative in your approach
Training such as Team Teach are beneficial but not essential
