Alma Personnel are working with their Birmingham based client to recruit for a trainee CNC Machinist to be based on site covering Monday to Thursday 6am to 6pm and then every other Friday. Based on the number of hours worked, you will be handsomely rewarded with a salary of between £35k and £40k.
You will be joining a very busy team to assist in expanding the business at this very exciting time in the company's history.
You will need to have some experience of operating and setting CNC machinery, be willing to learn and able to think our side of the box and problem solve. Test yourself on a daily basis within this diverse and technical environment.
* Learning how to operate and set 3 axis CNC machines.
* Creating, setting and measuring state of the art tooling used on the CNC machinery.
* Operate five large overhead cranes which can lift up to 50 tonnes. (training will be given)
* Conforming and assisting with the upkeep of our health and safety legislation.
* Commanding one of the large CNC machines available
* Understanding CNC programs and amending information within them.
* Learning and advancing skills whilst operating a Fanuc control system.
