Are you a newly qualified or soon-to-qualify teacher looking to gain classroom experience and find your ideal school match? Hays Education, a trusted leader in UK education recruitment, is seeking passionate Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for supply teaching roles in Barnsley and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

As a Supply ECT, you'll work across a variety of primary schools, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils' learning. Whether you're seeking day-to-day flexibility or a long-term placement, we'll help you find the right fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons across different subjects and year groups
Adapt quickly to new classroom environments
Manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
Support student progress and wellbeing
Provide feedback to class teachers and school leaders

What We're Looking For:

QTS or pending QTS (final-year trainees welcome)
Adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic teaching style
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for education and student development
Willingness to travel within Barnsley and nearby areas
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
