Electrical Control and Instrumentation Technician - Coggeshall - Up to £53,000 - 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays!

Are you an experienced Electrical Control and Instrumentation Technician looking to work in a state-of-the-art facility that values innovation, safety, and sustainability? A leading waste management and energy recovery site is seeking a skilled professional to join their maintenance team.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising electrical, control, and instrumentation systems within a highly automated energy recovery facility. This advanced site processes non-recyclable waste, converting it into electricity for the national grid.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on EC&I systems
Supporting planned and unplanned shutdown activities
Ensuring engineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers
Identifying and contributing to operational improvement projects

Who We're Looking For:

NVQ Level 3 (preferred), HNC/HND, or equivalent experience in electrical, control & instrumentation maintenance
Minimum 2 years' experience in a complex operational environment (e.g., Power Generation, Industrial Process, Oil & Gas)
Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs
Familiarity with Low, Medium, and High Voltage switching and control equipment
Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
Ability to work as part of a 24/7 operational team, including participation in an on-call rota
