Overview:

Are you a Lab Assistant looking for some extra weekend work?  Come apply to our weekend PRN role! Position will be working Saturdays & Sundays from 12pm-6pm.

Responsibilities:

Obtain specimens from patients for laboratory procedures.



Instructs patients and other personnel on the proper procedure for specimen collection, labels, storage documentation, billing, and transport requirements.



Retrieves and delivers documents, supplies, equipment, and specimens for clients and laboratory.



Processes specimens for analysis, storage and reference lab testing



Qualifications:

Education



High school education or equivalent. 



Requires some knowledge of medical terminology.



 



Experience



3 months phlebotomy experience, or a phlebotomy certificate with 32 hours of clinical rotation, or 6 months experience in a medical field providing patient care which includes drawing blood or blood processing, or current MLT student in clinical rotations, or one or more college level courses in a biological science



 



(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).



 



Licensure/Certification



Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.



Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.



 



Compensation/Benefits



$11.00-$18.00/hr depending on previous work experience
