Spanish/German Teacher - Full Time - Permanent - September Start
Location: Luton
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Are you a passionate Spanish/German teacher committed to helping students thrive in a multicultural and multilingual world? A forward-thinking and ambitious secondary school in Luton is seeking a dedicated Spanish/German teacher to join their modern foreign languages department this September, on a full-time, permanent basis.

The school offers a strong, structured environment where high expectations go hand-in-hand with excellent student support and a real sense of community. The role provides an exciting opportunity for a Spanish/German teacher to contribute to the development of a vibrant curriculum that promotes both linguistic fluency and cultural understanding.

The Role:
The successful Spanish/German teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play a vital role in raising the profile of languages across the school, encouraging students to explore new cultures and develop a lifelong love of language learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in Spanish and/or German

Support students of all abilities to achieve excellent outcomes

Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and wider department goals

Use data to inform planning and support student progress

Participate in school life, including extracurricular language events and trips

What We're Looking For:

A qualified Spanish/German teacher with QTS (or equivalent)

Strong subject knowledge in either Spanish, German, or both

A belief that all students, regardless of background, can achieve excellence

Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills

A proactive, reflective attitude with a commitment to professional development
