The Opportunity:

An outstanding primary school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated and motivated Year 4 Teacher to join their teaching team in September 2025. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver inspiring and engaging lessons to Year 4 pupils in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum, using a variety of teaching methods to support diverse learning needs.

Assess and monitor pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and using assessment data to inform planning and drive improvement.

*

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel valued, supported, and motivated to achieve their best.

*

Collaborate closely with other teachers and staff to ensure high standards of teaching and learning are maintained across the school.

*

Develop strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and encouraging active participation in the school community.

*

Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development.

Person Specification:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

In-depth knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum, with experience in delivering effective and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils.

*

Proven ability to assess pupil progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure all learners make progress.

*

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

*

Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.

*

A passion for teaching and a commitment to professional growth, with a focus on providing a high-quality education for all students.
