Job Advert: English Teacher – KS3 & KS4
Location: Wolverhampton
Position: Full-Time English Teacher
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-Time
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by negotiation)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated English teacher looking for your next challenge? A thriving mainstream secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join their supportive team from September 2025.

About the Role:

As an English Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspire a love of literature and language, and help students achieve their potential in English. This is a full-time role with full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the needs of all learners

*

Assess and mark student work in line with school and exam board requirements

*

Support pupils to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills

*

Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources

*

Participate in department meetings, parent evenings, and whole-school activities

*

Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic performance in the classroom

The Ideal Candidate:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

*

Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4

*

Strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching and learning

*

Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities

*

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

*

A commitment to continuous professional development and teamwork
