The WCPC is responsible for development, coordination, and monitoring of the hospitals Wound Care Program. The WCPC establishes standards of care and clinical competencies to meet patient needs, and training to ensure clinical expertise. The WCPC works collaboratively with the medical staff, and provides education to patients, caregivers and staff on wound, ostomy and continence care. The employee shall support St. Marys Medical Centers strategic plan and the goals and direction the quality improvement / process improvement activities. The incumbent independently develops and implements the Wound Care Program to include patient care protocols, documentation tools, wound care formulary and wound care program referral criteria in addition to all Policy Development and Education related to the Wound Care Program at St. Marys Medical Center.


* Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit or equivalent experience in critical care in an acute setting

* Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree,

* Current CA RN License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Wound Care Certified (WCC) obtained within 24 months of hire or transfer date into the position.

* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.


* Masters of Science in Nursing Degree.
