UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) is continuously seeking applicants to assist in filling the temporary needs of the UC Irvine Campus in Irvine and the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. We recruit for this position on an on-going basis in order to build a talent pool of potential candidates Compensation Range: $17.75-$23.06 Required: Good communication skills to effectively interact with payers, patients, their families, and other staff in PFS or across the organization Good math skills to accurately perform a variety of calculations related to patient accounting Preferred: Medical Billers are responsible for the billing and collection of monies for hospital charges from a variety of payers. Performs patient accounting functions that may include payment posting and reconciliation. Reviews all accounts within assigned inventory and ensures the timely collection of those accounts. Uses computerized billing system to maintain accounts. Final candidate subject to background check. The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m., however, we also have occasional part-time, weekend and evening hours available.
