Faith at Work Event Manager - Part-Time Tracking Code 6277 Job Description World Vision is now hiring for a Part-time Faith at Work Event Manager 01 The Role The Faith at Work Event Manager will manage the planning process and participate in the design, strategy, and execution of meetings, Faith at Work events and chapel to include some or all of the following: event budget, theme, registration process, speaker/entertainment, transportation, venue, audio visual technology, food and beverage selection, etc. Help carry out our Christian organizations mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign. Responsibilities include: * Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer. * Engage with all appropriate World Vision US staff members and leaders to set event strategy and ensure its effective implementation. * As needed and in partnership with appropriate WVUS departments, oversee contract negotiations with vendors. * Serve as liaison between contractors, organizers, and WVUS leadership regarding all facets of the event. * Ensure proper execution of event preparation and production details. * May have responsibility for event marketing. * Report on event results, analyze effectiveness and recommend modifications to future event strategy is needed. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team. * Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools. 02 Required Experience * Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). * In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 4 years work experience including successful large-scale event planning/management. * Program management experience preferred. * Ability to value and interact with Christians from a variety of diverse theological backgrounds, doctrines and church traditions and denominations. * Experience creating worship, Bible teaching, spiritual education offerings for adults or young adults strongly preferred. * Must be able to work 20 hours a week. 03 What Success Looks Like * The ability to create an event every week. * Enjoys working in a collaborative environment. * Can work independently and in a team environment. * Able to interact with staff of various levels within the organization. * Can manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Has embraced being the face of World Vision around Faith. * Transforming lives of World Vision staff and your own. 04 Where this job could take your career World Vision USA is a part of the larger World Vision International partnership.
