Company Overview
A large facilities maintenance company are currently seeking AC / Refrigeration Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The company have been carrying out the Mechanical and Electrical Planned and Reactive Maintenance on a large university campus in Lincoln.

Site Overview
The on-site team consists of 34 members, from Account Manager, Three Supervisors, Contract Support Administrator with Two Contract Administrators to a 27 member team of Engineers with skill sets including but not limited to Electricians, Gas Engineers, Plumbers, A/C Engineers, Fire Dampers, Fire Doors and Handy Persons. This is set to grow under the new Contract with the addition of Building Fabrics and the new Contractual requirements. We currently maintain in excess of 80 individual buildings across 3 Campus’.
Position Overview
We are looking to recruit an Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer to carry out PPM and Reactive Maintenance across the Estate. Chiller Experience would be desirable but not essential as would experience of working in a University / Education scenario.
The position permits a vehicle in the form of a Vivaro Van to be worked into the overall package if required.
The Salary offered is in the region of £33,000.00 to £34,000.00 per annum dependent upon experience.
42.5 hour week, working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00.
22 Holidays per year plus Bank Holidays.
In addition to the standard week we operate a shift rota and call out rota.
The shift comes in the form of working 7 days one week in nine (1:9), Mon – Fri working 15:00 to 00:00 and covering the weekend 10:00 to 22:00 in a two man team, one member working 10:00 to 19:00 and one member working 13:00 to 22:00. The shift allowance for each person is £175.00 and in addition to this the following Monday and Tuesday is classed as a day off, in effect lieu days for the weekend. See below for an example:
Call Out is covered by one of the shift Engineers each time, making this a one week in twenty rota (1:20).
The hours covered are those where there is no site presence, e.g weekdays after midnight and weekends after 22:00 with the addition of Bank Holidays. Call out standby is paid at £100.00 per week with call outs paid at the appropriate overtime rates
