A thriving primary school in Lewisham is looking for an inspiring and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join their dedicated team in September 2025. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons for Year 6 students, ensuring full coverage of the National Curriculum and preparing them for the transition to secondary school.

Use a range of assessment tools and strategies to monitor pupil progress, provide regular feedback, and inform future planning.

*

Create a well-structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement.

*

Collaborate closely with colleagues to share best practices and ensure a high standard of teaching across the school.

*

Develop positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and encouraging them to take an active role in their child’s learning.

*

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

A strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

*

Proven experience in assessing pupil progress and using data to inform planning and provide targeted support.

*

Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and productive learning environment.

*

Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.

*

A commitment to professional growth and a passion for supporting students in achieving their academic and personal best.
