A 4 months+ opportunity for a Right to Buy Officer has arisen with the local authorities in St Albans.

The job purpose is to provide a comprehensive Right to Buy service to Council tenants from application to completion.

To undertake property-related transactions and to provide legal advice to interested parties.

To manage and administer the Council's Right To Buy process including post completion matters and ensure this work is completed within the required statutory timescales. This will involve providing advice and solutions on both routine and complex matters and include by persuasion requiring colleagues in other departments to carry out work of relevance to the Right to Buy function.

Skills and Experience:

GCSE qualifications (including English and Maths) and one A-Level subject, and/or NVQ Level 4 Legal Diploma in property related law/conveyancing or equivalent qualifications of experience.
Knowledge of Housing Act Right to Buy procedures and conveyancing practices and procedures.
Proven track record of communicating at a high standards (both verbal and written) to a wide range and level of stakeholders.
Work independentaly, well organised, able to deal with urgent instructions and prioritise workload.Hours of work are 9am till 5.30pm, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
