Our established Manufacturing client, with a reputation for excellence are currently looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience, to join their growing team. Our client are part of a multi-national group, and are renowned for the quality of their products across the globe.

In this multi-skilled and key role, you will maintain the continuous running of equipment and machinery throughout the site to ensure that there is minimum disruption to daily operation, reducing the risk of breakdowns and unplanned downtime and develop mitigation plans to improve the overall reliability and safety of the site.

We are seeking a time served engineer/technician with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience. Candidates with PLC (Siemens S7, Mitsubishi) experience are highly desired.

The Role:

Manage maintenance related projects to ensure minimum disruption.
Diagnose and resolve breakdown problems, ensuring machine capacity is maximised.
Support the commissioning and introduction of new machinery and products.
Ensure compliance with current maintenance procedures and IT systems.
Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
Record and schedule all maintenance to include planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
Ensure that all maintenance work is completed to a high standard and meets Health and Safety and other regulatory requirements.
Work closely with internal departments, communicating regularly with production employees, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely updates and progress reports on maintenance requests are provided.
Where projects require external support, work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
Participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.The Person:

Versatile and flexible with regards to pro-active & re-active maintenance.
Naturally inquisitive, with the ability to investigate and troubleshoot to solve problems and faults to get to the root cause.
Methodical attitude and an excellent eye for detail.
Strong ability to read, understand, generate technical and electrical drawings
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across the business.Experience and Qualifications

A time-served engineer/technician with strong experience within a manufacturing environment.
Formal qualification in Maintenance or Engineering is desirable.
Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Multi-skilled, with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
IOSH is desirable
PLC experience - Siemens S7 /Mitsubishi desirable
Forklift Truck License is highly desirable.
