Workshop Technician
Location: Langley, Slough 
Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, on-site) 
Salary £29,000 - £35,000

Are you an experienced engineering professional with a manufacturing background? We’re looking for a skilled Workshop Technician to join a dynamic team. If you have hands-on expertise with manual lathes, milling machines, and a range of hand tools, we’d love to hear from you. 
This role requires attention to detail, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time. You’ll also need to be comfortable with occasional heavy lifting and possess a proactive, team-oriented approach. 

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in engineering manufacturing, with knowledge of measurements and threads.
Hands-on expertise with manual lathes, milling machines, and bench drills.
Proficient in using hand tools for machining tasks.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Comfortable with occasional heavy lifting.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work overtime when necessary.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain manual lathes, milling machines, and bench drills to produce components with precision.
Use hand tools and measurement equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to ensure accuracy.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Machine various materials, including metals, alloys, and plastics.
Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality.
Conduct routine maintenance of machines and promptly report any mechanical issues.
Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances.
Manage workload effectively to meet production deadlines.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address technical challenges.
Maintain a clean, organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Benefits
