Working as the leader and driving force for the Automotive Aftermarket Supply Chain Team within Unipart Logistics, you will set the vision for delivering optimum supply chain performance. Managing the end to end supply chain including business as usual supply chain, special activities, procurement, inventory planning and forecasting, you will be ultimately responsible and accountable for driving best in class parts availability and minimising back order levels and recovery times.
The pace of change requires a highly responsive and flexible approach. You will lead from the front in the relentless pursuit of excellence instilling a culture of continuous improvement using the Unipart Way. Forming a strong relationship and taking a leadership role with senior client management and the wider team, anticipating future requirements and preparing the roadmap to future state with clear objectives and ownership. You will lead and drive improvement activity and projects.
Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities:
* Full responsibility for the global supply chain for a premium automotive brand covering c.60K SKUs, c.£25m inventory, c.300 suppliers based in the UK, Europe and rest of world
* Develop and improve working relationships and enhance business growth opportunities with the client- this will involve daily contact with the client either by phone, email or face to face up to director level
* Creating the environment and culture for improvement
* Understand best in class approaches to supply chain providing direction and leadership
* Driving appropriate measurement and metrics of all supply chain activities
* Reporting regularly to the client on supply chain performance, utilising the metrics and evaluating performance data to forecast business needs
* Developing business cases and reporting packs to support improvement
* Influencing strategic decision making with the client for future parts operations service offerings
* Acting as an advisor and consultant to the client enablement team
* Ensuring the knock on impacts in the supply chain of purchasing approaches are understood
* Presenting high quality project analysis and business cases to the customer using PowerPoint and Excel, face to face and over online conferencing platforms
* Support and lead cross functional activity, reporting and projects within the Unipart client aftersales team, potentially leading projects in customer service, operations, freight and compliance as required
Supply Chain Manager Requirements:
* Communicates ideas, clearly, persuasively, with conviction and pride
* Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills
* Analytical
* Good MS Excel skills (incl. PivotTables & VLookups)
* Experience in MS Access is an absolute 'must have' as you will be improving our reporting mechanisms
* Good commercial acumen
* Customer focus

* Assertive and possesses an ability to influence
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience supply chain and people management
* Experience of supply chain, forecasting and expediting systems

Salary: £60,000 plus car / car allowance
