Job Description: Auditor, Membership I

Position Summary:

The Auditor, Membership I, is responsible for auditing group (small/large/complex) accounts to ensure premium payments and/or reimbursements are processed and reported in a timely and accurate manner. This role will also audit subscriber accounts to ensure premium payments are within the grace period and handle the resolution of billing/payment problems, adjudicating insufficient and/or incorrect payments back to subscribers. Additionally, the Auditor may serve as the primary contact with the group regarding monthly reporting activities.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform audits on group accounts to ensure accurate processing and reporting of premium payments and reimbursements.

- Conduct audits on subscriber accounts to verify premium payments within the grace period.

- Resolve billing/payment issues and handle insufficient and/or incorrect payments back to subscribers.

- Prepare monthly activity reporting for groups.

- Audit large and complex accounts.

- Prepare deposits of subscriber payments.

- Process check runs and write member checks to cut reimbursements to subscribers.

- Address discrepancies noted from controllers.

- Process refunds to subscribers.

- Respond accurately and timely to internal and external customers regarding reporting and processing of premium payments and reimbursements.

Education and Experience:

- Required Education: Associate degree or 2 years of job-related work experience.

- Required Work Experience: 1 year of experience in accounting, audit/compliance, or a combination of these.



Soft Skills:

- Good organizational skills.

- Proficient in MS Excel.

- Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.

- Adaptability to changes within the workplace.

- Must have at least 1 year of office experience or accounting, billing back.
