Overview:

Responsible for assisting the Warehouse manager by supervising all, functions or specific functions of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, returns (including parts/supplies) loading / unloading trucks, picking and packing finished goods, and shop equipment - pre-install, reman / refurb and configuration. Maintaining a high level of productivity and ensuring that all orders and returns are processed accurately and on-time on a daily basis.



Responsibilities:

- Accountable for directing all activities in the warehouse to ensure accurate, timely and efficient operations including shipping of sales orders, receiving of inventory, and returns processing.

- Responsible for directing daily work flow and priorities including shop operations supporting equipment pre-install, refurbishment, testing, configuration, reman and cleaning.

- Responsible for hiring, training, developing and motivating staff; scheduling, delegating work assignments; monitoring individual and group performance to ensure high level of productivity; and for reviewing all distribution processes and procedures in order to continuously improve efficiency. Creating positive, productive work environment and engaged employee staff.

- Provides prompt assistance to Order Management, Sales personnel, and customers in the resolution of shipping questions or issues.

- Maintains positive, partner relationships with all carriers, including assisting with selection and price negotiations for new vendors; resolves shipping problems, initiates tracers and files claims when necessary.

- Determines effective layout and utilization of warehouse space for efficient operations. Responsible for identifying space requirments for warehouse activities.

- Responsible for safeguarding of inventories, facilities and staff.

-Responsible for maintenance of equipment and ensuring safe positive work environment.



Qualifications:

Requires 5 years of related experience and management of two or more regular full-time employees; bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred.

- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience with a track record of quality, attention to detail and an aptitude at leadership.

- Effective written and oral communications.

- Excellent PC skills required. Excel and Microsoft Word.

- Experience supervising in a dynamic and multifaceted environment.

- Certified to Operate Forklift.

- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
