Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + benefits

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Town Planner, who has experience within the property sector, to join a world-leading, multidisciplinary consultancy with an enviable track record of delivering a wide-range of cutting-edge energy transition projects, as well as an impressive, more traditional infrastructure schemes. The team can proudly say that their work makes a real-world difference, delivering innovative sustainable solutions across renewables, recycling, education, defence, industrial and commercial. Working as part of the company's vibrant and supportive Birmingham office, you will get to make a difference at a strategic scale, working with nationally recognised clients and a portfolio of major housebuilders and developments on a wide variety of projects.

To be considered for this Principal Town Planner Role, you will:

Be qualified to degree level in Town Planning and will be a full member of the RTPI.
Have extensive professional experience, with a substantial part of that spent in the UK private consultancy environment, of advising clients on successful planning strategies, preparing planning applications, supporting negotiations on s106 agreements, securing consents, site disposal, due diligence and implementation.
Be technically confident.
Be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Have experience in managing planning applications (from small to large sized projects) and working with multi-disciplinary project teams to tight deadlines and strictly defined budgets.
Have a full UK drivers' licence.

Working as a Principal Town Planner you will:

Contribute to, and lead, the delivery of strategic mixed-use urban extensions, garden communities and major planning applications for high profile clients.
Representing clients through the plan making process, provide sound technical and strategy advice, and assume responsibility for the delivery of high-quality outputs, policy submissions and planning applications.
Work to raise the company's profile through networking, the use of social media, through your own professional development and by staying knowledgeable of emerging best practice, guidance and legislation changes.
