Description

Job Description: Physical Design Work, Gate to GDS flow, candidate must be familiar with the PD flow which includes Floor-planning, power grid, Place & route, STA, IR drop, Physical Verification (DRC/LVS)

Industry standard tools from Cadence, Synopsys , Mentor, Ansys



Hardware Engineer will plan, design, and develop electronic systems, circuits, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, optical systems, and/or DSP systems. This HW Engineering will conduct simulations and analyses of designs. Develop emulation solutions. Evaluate, characterize, and develop the manufacturing solution for leading-edge products in the most advanced processes. Interface with various cross-functional teams (e.g. Designers, Software/System Engineering, Architecture Development, Business Groups, Customers, Customer Engineering) to drive and incorporate the latest test solutions in the production program to improve the yield, test time, and quality. Evaluate reliability of materials, properties, and techniques used in production.



In addition, this HW Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

Work under close supervision.

Be able to work in a fast paced environment. Associate will be working with Sr. Staff engineers.

Take responsibility for own work and making decisions with limited impact; impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors made impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).

Use good verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.

Complete most tasks with multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.

Exercise some creativity to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with Client circumstances.

Limited problem solving skills are required, generally in the nature of troubleshooting simple processes or technology.



Minimum Qualifications

1-4 years of work experience doing physical design planning, designing, and developing electronic systems, wrapping IPs, using Unix (required), Linux, (Python experience preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.



Preferred Qualifications

2-4 years of work experience doing physical design planning, designing, and developing electronic systems, wrapping IPs, strong Unix skills, Linux experience, 1+ years of experience using Python, and strong MS Office skills.



Education:

Minimum required Associates degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
