The Director of Sales (DOS) supervises and provides leadership to the day-to-

day Sales operations by training and motivating the Sales team members, while

ensuring the correct presentation of the Diamond product. The Director of Sales

is responsible for attaining monthly and annual sales targets, building up

distribution channels, establishing strategic business relations and providing

ideas for all strategic sales planes and their implementation. The Director of

Sales is also responsible for controlling the selling costs with the objective

of achieving predetermined net sales goals.


* Provides leadership to the day-to day operations of the Sales department,

while maintaining focus on the Companys strategic goals.

* Directs department to achieve the objectives established by the Companys

strategic plan.

* Responsible for the achievement of the established targets in regards to

VPG, net sales volume and closing percentage of the relevant sales site.

* Responsible for managing and controlling the Sales budget of the relevant

sales site.

* Creates product segmentation strategies wherever needed to maximize trade

opportunities across different sales channels.

* Effectively executes and manages every element of the sales process on an

individual level and build a top-notch sales team.

* Accountable for attracting, retaining, training and motivating a diverse

sales force on a constant basis.

* Leads and influences a successful & experienced team of Sales Managers.

* Manages the performance of the entire Sales unit, including Sales

Managers and Sales Agents, through the consistent practice of the

corporate Performance Management programs and the conduction of analysis

to determine performance levels against corporate objectives by: (1)

establishing the performance goals for all Sales management team members

along with the relevant action plans aimed at supporting the achievement

of such goals; (2) working with the Sales management team members in the

establishment of performance goals for the Sales team members along with

the relevant action plans aimed at supporting the achievement of the

performance goals; and (3) exhaustive follow-up.

* Develops and maintains a strong work relationship with key opinion

leaders and contacts with other relevant areas of the business, ensuring

that the Sales operations are integrated within the overall guest


* Collaborates closely with the Marketing teams ensuring efficient tour


* Communicates brand identity to the Sales force on a consistent basis.

* Promotes a high quality company image by demonstrating professionalism to

both clients and colleagues.

* Ensures the delivery of the Meaning of Yes at every touch point.

* Focuses selling message on needs of customer.

* Exceeds client expectations and experience, dealing with complaints


* Analyzes the projects of our local competitors and maintains constant

communication with the DRI leadership team.

* Operates office machinery (i.e., computer, copy machine, fax machine).

* Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as


* Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies

and procedures.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.


* High School Diploma or equivalent.


* A minimum five (5) years of experience in the vacation ownership or

timeshare field required.

* A minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in the vacation

ownership field required.


This position spends the majority of time (50% or more) achieving organization

objectives, often through the coordinate achievements of subordinate staff. A

portion of the time may be spent performing individual tasks related similar to

those performed by direct reports, but primary duties are supervisory or

organizational-goal related. Analyzes and resolves problems, determines work

techniques, monitors for regulatory compliance, maintains production,

interprets and creates policies, and demonstrates solid subject matter


Establishes departmental goals and objectives, functions with independence, and

makes decisions on matters of significant importance. Manages human, financial,

and/or physical resources; proactively assesses risk to establish systems and

procedures to protect organizational assets. Exercises judgment within defined

procedures and policies to determine appropriate action; develops systems to

ensure subordinates adhere to policies and procedures in compliance with

organizational goals and objectives.

Specific supervisory duties include, but are not limited to the following:

* Assigns, monitors, and reviews work; evaluates direct reports


* Recruits, interviews, trains, disciplines, and terminates direct reports.

* Orientates and trains direct reports.

* Approves time records and time off requests; submits payroll for direct


* Investigates and resolves concerns and complaints.

* Provides assistance and support; maintains a positive and professional

working environment.


* Active Real Estate License, as required by state law.


This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and

written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English

and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others,

analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and

interact successfully with internal and external customers.

Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Proven and verifiable ability to function as a successful T/O.

* Strong ability to recruit, train and motivate individuals in the field of

direct sales as well as effectively coach, counsel, motivate and lead a


* Thorough knowledge of the vacation ownership industry trends, company

products and services and strong working knowledge of RCI and IIs

products and services.

* Conducts oneself in a professional and unbiased manner at all times.

* Initiative and enthusiasm, possessing a "can do" attitude.

* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions to

verbal, mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics driven environment.

* Proven ability to understand and interpret financial documents, as well

as create spreadsheets and budgets.

* 10% travel required.


* Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps,

poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving
