My client is based in Witham and is a market leader in the manufacture, supply and installation of protection and control panels for the electricity supply industry. They are currently very busy so are looking to recruit experienced panel wirers to support their growth.

The role:

The Panel Wirer will be responsible for the wiring of electrical control panels from schematic diagrams and carrying out general fitting work including:

• Reading from schematic drawings
• Building, wiring and testing of electrical control panels
• Fitting, wiring and tying off complex jobs with 20+ cables
• Completing work to a high standard
• Looming and crimping
• Assembly of large cable assemblies
• Drilling and cutting cabinets to suit
• Connecting all electrical components to the control panel ensuring all cables are neat and tidy

The Key Requirements:

• Experience of working on wiring looms/cable harness, control panels or cable assemblies
• Good wiring skills
• Ability to carry out accurate and neat freehand wiring,
• Experience of testing
• Must be able to lift heavy weights
• Industrial background preferred
