A global leader in diagnostic technologies for sleep disorders, neurophysiology and cardiology is currently looking to appoint a proven new business focused sales professional to increase market share across the USA.

The Position:

With viable vaccines for the Covid pandemic now entering production phase, our client is looking for a proven business winner to capitalise on the resultant shift in the focus and priorities of researchers, universities, medical centres and hospitals across the United States. This will principally involve:

* Designing and executing a sales strategy to meet and exceed agreed business targets

* Identifying and closing opportunities for proactive new business development

* Educating research and healthcare providers on the benefits of our client’s equipment in a highly competitive market

* Cultivating long-term business relationships with customers and key opinion leaders in the neurological community

* Addressing client issues so that a high degree of client satisfaction is maintained

* Communicating customer feedback to management to improve the product/service offering

* Planning and organizing specific marketing activities to target customers

* Attending conferences and trade shows and following-up on contacts made during these events

* Providing and distributing business development reports and statistics

* Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal and operational rules and procedures

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

* A minimum of five years’ field sales experience in neuro diagnostics

* A minimum bachelor’s degree in medical sciences and/or neurological accreditation

* Home location within reasonable distance of a major airport as nationwide travel will be frequent

* Proven new business ‘hunter’ skills: Lead generation, pitching, negotiation, closing

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong commercial acumen and profit & loss know-how

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, internet and database software

* Experience of maintaining confidentiality relating to sensitive written, verbal, electronic communications/data

* Strong initiative and self-motivation

* Extensive market experience/knowledge/contacts (researchers, universities, medical centres, hospitals)
