Salary: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

Fold Hill Foods Ltd have a vacancy for a Shift Manager, working on a continental 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights shift. Managing a busy factory over a 12 hour shift.

As a Shift Manager you would be responsible for ensuring that we are operating to the highest standards in line with business goals, objectives and values. Delivering daily production / hygiene in a safe, quality focussed and efficient manner. Striving for manufacturing excellence through people, plant and process maintaining customer satisfaction and service.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, we would be looking for the Shift Manager to take the lead on the following:

* Safety - to ensure that you lead by example. Follow the process, safety first, be involved in GMP and deal with issues immediately, ensuring H&S rules are adhered to. Develop an area safety plan and conduct risk assessments as necessary.

* Quality - ensure all products are produced to the correct standard, consistently and in line with food safety legislation, customer requirements and Company guidelines. Ensure standards of hygiene and housekeeping are of the correct standard appropriate with customer, audit and Company standards.

* Efficiency - ensure team members are motivated, trained and understand their role. Monitor production, drive performance through SIC and continuous improvement practices. Review manning levels and shift structure monthly. Ensure production performance does not hinder customer service levels. Manage manning levels in line with the plan and business needs, ensuring agreed attendance targets are met. Skills matrix, skills gap analysis drives training throughout the area of responsibility to ensure that the business need is met.

To join us as Shift Manager you will have;

* A good standard of education to degree level or equivalent relevant qualifications

* Minimum 1 year of experience of operational management in FMCG industry

* Minimum 3 years’ experience of managing people

* Knowledge of industry and Health & Safety legislation
