Location: Virtual anywhere in the U.S. Position Summary: The Banking Software Business Analyst role focuses on activities such as evaluating, designing, constructing, integrating, unit testing, trouble-shooting and optimizing software solutions in a variety of customer-facing and internal business scenarios, associated with NCRs financial software for monitoring ATMs and Interactive Teller Machines. In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of our industry leading Self-Service Solutions for the banks. You will see the results of your efforts firsthand in the way our financial institution customers you support, increase their device availability and reduce costs. Upon achieving a fundamental knowledge of NCRs software solutions, candidates will specialize into areas focusing on multi-vendor platforms, security, manageability, performance/optimization, business rules, and reporting. Focus on specializations will rotate periodically to create a well-rounded perspective and a deeper set of capabilities. Candidates must work to anticipate internal and external client needs and have an overriding commitment to client satisfaction. As well, incumbents must be able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change. Key Areas of Responsibility - Analyze available data, system logs, and recognize/report trends in overall system and vendor performance (both negative and positive). - Provide reporting on a monthly basis consisting of performance metrics related to the device management software, customer help desk/operations, and device service teams. In addition, document and report on monthly accomplishments, outstanding issues, recommended improvements to address negative performance trends, and plans for upcoming periods. - Identify potential solutions and improvements based on customer needs/requirement - Test and report on the potential impacts of implementing these solutions to the overall performance and manage the implementation - Testing of approved solutions in the customers test and production environments. - End-to-end coordination of all technical decisions to ensure that the solution is integrated into the customers environment and meets the customers business need. - Establish acceptance criteria and quality goals - Lead analysis and resolve (along with NCR Software Support) software issues found during customer acceptance testing - Ensure all related customer issues are being properly managed within NCR, and escalations are handled properly. - Provide training to customers on the features/functionally of NCRs device management software - Provide estimates, goals, standards, constraints and dependencies as input to Statements of Work for projects - Provide feedback to NCRs Development team on new features and functions or new methods of executing existing features and functions in an effort to improve the overall effectiveness and performance of our systems. This includes documenting detailed requirements and participating in design related activities to ensure new development activities meet or exceed customer expectations. - Present self-service device management system roadmaps and explain NCR service offerings - Provide pre-sale support for potential new projects Basic Requirements - Bachelors Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experience - Effective communications with customers at various levels within their organization, including operations up to Executive Management levels - Technical project leadership experience organizing project resources, including development of project plans - Working knowledge of NCRs device management system or similar device management solutions as evidenced with a minimum of two years direct experience with NCR or competitor solutions and a detailed knowledge of device management business operations. NCR does provide training courses. - Familiarity with ATM application software (example: EDGE and Active Enterprise). - Experience with systems integration, including multiple platform/vendor application integrations; understanding of networking communications, and excellent systems troubleshooting skills - Experience with building customized database reports using a frontend tool (example: JasperSoft, Crystal Reports, Intellicus) - Experience working with Microsoft operating system technology - specifically Windows 10 and Windows 7 - including one or several off the following: installing and supporting hardware devices and drivers; configuring and troubleshooting network protocols and servicesincluding TCP/IP, Internet Information Services, and remote access; managing securityGroup Policy, Encrypting File System (EFS), NTFS permissions. - Experience supporting 724 resilient or mission critical systems - Experience creating and leading group presentations, hosting web seminars and public speaking - Must be able to travel on average 25% of the time across the US. Preferred Requirements - Experience working in the branch banking, ATM or kiosk self-service industry - Experience with installing, configuring, and integrating Web Host Servers and Web Applications, including high-availability configuration options. - Experience with Groovy Scripting - Experience with JasperSoft reporting - Experience with SQL Queries (SQL Server/Oracle) - Experience building or integrating Web Services applications (WebSphere or IIS) - Experience using Apache Tomcat and/or IBM WebSphere - Experience and understanding of clusters and high-availability database configurations Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.
