Job Summary



Responsible for basic subcontract development and/or administration in support of proposal and/or project requirements within the subcontracts group. Previous training/learning and development experience would be preferred.



Key Responsibilities



General

* Assigned basic subcontracts and develops an understanding of the other operations within estimating, engineering and their interface functions within the subcontracts department.

* Files appropriate record documents and follows filing rules.

Subcontract Development Responsibilities

* Prepares subcontract related documents and bidders list for assigned subcontracts.

* Prepares and issues requests for proposals and supports the bidding process.

* Coordinates the bid evaluation process through the distributiion of proposals, preparation of the commercial portion of the bid tabulation, and collaboration with estimating, construction, engineering, and other functions regarding evaluations.

* Coordinates the negotiation process, which may include the preparation of commercial negotation position and the scheduling/coordination of the negotation meeting with the bidders and the project team.

* Coordiantes the award and conforming process.

* Ensures subcontractor compliance with prequalification requirements.

Subcontract Admistration Responsibilities (if assigned)

* Coordinate kick off and progress meetings

* Draft/log formal correspondence for assigned subcontracts

* Perform change management duties for assigned subcontracts

* Closeout assigned subcontracts

Preferred Qualifications



* BA or BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Business, Technical or related field (preferred)

* Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree

* Construction or Engineering experience strongly preferred

* Preferred Skills: . Proficient Analytics - Creation and Interpretation . Proficient Attention to Detail . Strong Communication - Written and Oral . Proficient Computer - Database and MS Office . Advanced Contract Comprehension . Proficient Data Entry . Basic Mathematics . Proficient Organizing Data . Proficient Presentation Skills . Strong Problem Solving . Basic Project Process Management . Basic Training Development

* Preferred Skills: . Working knowledge of legal principles applicable to the Company . Working knowledge of Company standard procurement documents . Attention to detail . General computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications . Basic negotiation skills



Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
