INTERNAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
This well-established and market-leading manufacturer of capital equipment and consumable products is recruiting for an ambitious and driven Internal Account Manager to join their rapidly expanding team. With a hybrid workplace, this role will be office-based at the Manchester head office alongside home-based working, with the occasional visit to customers as required.
Working closely with the Commercial & Technical Director, you will provide internal technical and commercial development and sales support for existing and new distributors and OEM customers in the UK, Europe and Middle East. The company has an enviable reputation, and you'll become part of a profitable and secure manufacturer which has been established over 40 years serving industries including Food & beverage, Chemical and Industrial (water).

THE OPPORTUNITY
In this brand new role, the Internal Account Manager will develop and support both existing and new customers, encompassing all of the company’s range of products, including liquid process equipment and associated consumables.
Competencies:
* To have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing sector and process industries
* Be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in sales
* Strong listening, negotiation and selling skills.
* An ability to form strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and use this to leverage sales growth for the company
* Adaptability and flexibility to deal with a demanding workload
* Be able to articulate all aspects of the technical and commercial characteristics of our product line to a variety of contact points within a client’s organisation
* Possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails.
* Possess the ability to persuade customers that a product best satisfies their needs in terms of design, quality, price and service.
* Be able to form strong relationships with customers and understand their needs by connecting with them and their processes, and empathise with customer issues.
* Good understanding of IT, including MS Office
* Excellent organisation skills
* Be able to communicate and liaise with colleagues at all levels, from a range of departments such as Directors, other members of the sales, production and administration teams.
* Strong focus on achieving sales targets
* Cultural fit for the business – Proactive, reactive, self starter
Responsibilities
* To develop and maintain effective relationships with key contacts
* To advise local sales teams/customers on product choice and introduce new product and/or applications
* To expedite growth by introducing new and additional products from the company’s range to customers and potential customers and promote a systematic repeat business regime; with consideration to other means of establishing customer loyalty
* To handle telephone and/or email enquiries, provide quotations for enquiries and follow up to promote conversation to order
* Provide ongoing support
* Provide internal support to external sales team as and when required to assist them to expedite growth and achieve sales objectives.
* Provide customers with ongoing product training and education
* Expedite growth by seeking new customers in the assigned territories
* Provide budget information for your customer base and monitor sales results against budget.
THE PERSON
The successful Internal Account Manager will undoubtedly be a self-starter with the desire to take ownership of this key role providing efficient support whilst recognising potential business development opportunities.
You will also demonstrate competencies by reference to relevant experience gained in manufacturing and process industries
