Health and Safety Officer

Location: Pontypool

Position: Full time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

Autograph Recruitment is delighted to be working with another key player in the food manufacturing industry, committed to delivering high-quality, innovative products to high-profile, well-known customers. We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Pontypool.

The Health & Safety Officer will play a key role in shaping and strengthening the company's health and safety culture. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, experienced professional who is passionate about ensuring a safe and compliant working environment. You will play a key role leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety procedures, promoting a culture of safety across the business.

Responsibilities of H&S Officer:

Assist in leading risk assessments

Conduct H&S audits

Deliver and record training to colleagues

Maintain a database of essential H&S KPI’s

Carry out weekly testing of site emergency systems

Working with the team to solve any issues

Ensure site complies with all H&S

Investigating and escalate any concerns in relation to H&S

Presenting information and data to the team

Support the H&S Manager with general administrational duties

The Ideal Candidate:

Desirable but not essential to have a H&S qualification

Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment

Previous experience or knowledge of H&S processes within a manufacturing environment

Strong Excel skills, ability to analyse and present data accurately

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, numerically and written

Confident and hard working
