An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts assistant to join a team working at a luxury goods manufacturer in Brigg.

Main Purpose of the job:

To support the Financial Controller, Finance team, and wider organisation, in this fast-paced FMCG environment, to deliver effective and efficient transaction processing, ensuring timely receipts and payments, supported by excellent information and communication .

Main Responsibilities:

Take overall ownership of all Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger activities, managing invoice processing and payments, delivering agreed KPI's and supporting colleagues where tasks delegated
Maintaining regular contact with customers and suppliers, dealing with issues effectively
Ensuring accurate bank reconciliations, both sterling and foreign bank accounts
Submission of monthly reports to external companies, HMRC and other stakeholders
Overseeing the Green Coffee invoice process, including control and monthly stock analysis for Green Coffee
Supported by the Financial Controller, oversee balance sheet controls and management for designated accounts
Providing support to Financial Controller and Finance Director in all duties to ensure the company maintains financial records in a correct manner, and reports useful information to aid business performance and decision making

Essential skills and knowledge:

Experience of Sales and Purchase ledger, including credit control preferred
A good communicator, able to work well with a variety of people and get things done
Experience of working within a SME Finance team, ideally in a manufacturing environment desirable
Broader experience of working across customer and supplier support roles will be considered
Excellent Excel capability, other MS capabilities advantageous
