ENTERPRISE CLOUD ARCHITECT - STRATEGY AZURE, AWS - URGENT INTERVIEWING THIS WEEK

World Wide Technology EMEA. has an opportunity available for an ENTERPRISE CLOUD ARCHITECT to support our client located in London. This position will be focused on high level strategy architecture and working with stakeholders of the business to delivery and provide guidance and strategy to the Global Financial services Client.



* JOB TITLE: ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT - CLOUD (REF#)

* LOCATION: STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT, US

* DURATION: 6 MONTHS

* RATE: MARKET RATES



RESPONSIBILITIES:



* Take ownership of Enterprise Architecture design and principles

* Principle Design Authority for all architecture designs

* Solutions spanning the following, as well as other, areas: Infrastructure, Hybrid Cloud, Security, Application Migration, Containers and Orchestration, Data Centre migration and DevOps.

* Work closely with Transformation Teams, Directors, C-level and application stakeholders, Projects Managers, Solutions Architects, SMEs in various teams (Ops, Infrastructure Support, Security), Developers, external vendors, suppliers, consultants and partners.

* Ensure solutions maximise the utilisation of infrastructure and cloud resources, to provide best value for the organisation.

* Provide comprehensive and extensive technical, design, procedural and governance level advice and guidance to various teams, domain and application stakeholders, C-level authority and SMEs.

* Attend appropriate architecture and design team meetings and standups, to provide advice and guidance, as well as represent the business interests within the organisation, to the internal IT community.

* Help foster an environment that welcomes new ideas, innovation by providing forums for concepts to be developed by teams and individuals, to full-fledged proposals.

* Identify and administer the investigation of the uses of new technology that improves customer service and/or create market advantage.

* Embody the organisations technology governance, project framework and cloud-first strategy.

* Be an agent of change within the organisation. Engage with all teams to create a support body for such ideas.

* Assist the various IT teams with High Level Design (HLD) decisions, consolidation of tools, as well as the optimisation of existing platforms, for cost improvements.

* Identify opportunities for operational improvements that increase the efficiency of both staff and process.

* Assist in the investigation and resolution of issues affecting the infrastructure or cloud assets, including performance, processes and services.

* Achieve best practice for customer infrastructure and public cloud

* Candidate must be capable of devising and delivering a DevOps-oriented Cloud Operating Model.



REQUIREMENTS



* Able to identify, analyse and resolve problems and conflicts in fair, logical and effective way.

* Demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels, including oral, written and presentation.

* Successfully influence others with good verbal communication, including clear messaging, intent and reasoning, as well as sell back to the business, C-level team and stakeholders.

* Show ability to priorities and manage time and resources effectively, efficiently and relevant to the task at hand.

* Lead from the front on projects and engagements, to demonstrate leadership and knowledge base. Need to be an extrovert and a storyteller.

* Mediate conflicts and foster amity, in terms of tools and decisions, help reduce the workload for teams and individuals, not increase it.

* Must have demonstrable experience with cloud concepts and technologies, application migration, storage, networking, security, Digital Transformation, containers and orchestration.

* Financial Industry and Insurance sector skills preferred but not essential.

* Architecture experience of AWS, Azure, GCP a must. Candidate must have technical experience in all three major public cloud providers.

* Candidate must possess experience in having engaged on and delivered projects in at least two of the three major public cloud providers (ideally, in AWS and Azure).

* Architecture experience with IBM Cloud, IBM Power Systems, Windows Server, Office 365, NetApp and EMC storage and Cisco Switches - a requirement.

* Architecture experience of Docker, Kubernetes, AI/ML, Docker and CI/CD methodologies - a requirement.

* Outstanding communication and organizational skills required.
