Job Description

The Manager of Business Development is a marketing position that will drive new business and revenue for assigned product lines and solutions.  The ideal person will have nulti-department experience in priduct management, marketing and business development.  This position will direct and oversee the activities assigned business development mangers (BDM).  Business Development has  ‘cradle to grave’ responsibilities for all work in marketing required to support the assigned products, a multi-department project management responsibility to mazimize revenue and assure customers are made aware of our products for theirbusiness.  BDM's will provide sales enablement, go to market strargies and progerams, market definition and segmentation, establish product positioning and develop early customer relationships.  Some responsibilities are as follows: 

  • Lead the business development team and monitor all Team Work assignments to assure effective and efficient use of resources
  • Conduct research and investigations into new markets, new solutions and new products
  • Develop and write business models
  • Participate in developing market and sales strategies
  • Create and write product definitions based on customer use cases
  • Write ECR's to specify new product requirements and solution offerings
  • Manage project management of assigned new products/solutions throughout development, launch, and life cycle of product.
  • Develop, create and implement go-to-market programs 
  • Be the subject matter expert for the assigned products, solutions, industries and technologies
  • Be the public voice for DeltaTrak at trade events and association meetings for the assigned products/solutions
  • Write Blogs, Marketing Collateral, Quick Start Guides for assigned products
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Successful candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • BS or greater preferably in Marketing, Business Development or Engineering
  • Must have demonstrate a strong leadership ability 
  • 7 years mix of business development, technical program management, product management and partner management experience
  • Experience in presenting to senior management internally and externally
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer skills
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional project management skills 
  •  Ability to cooperate, work and communicate with all departments of the company in a friendly and professional manner.
