Position: Business Development Manager

Salary: €80,000 to €90,000 depending on experience + bonus + generous pension, holiday allowance, commuting allowance, generous holiday entitlement, 30% Tax Benefits (only applies to relocators).

Full time, on-site: Normal working pattern is Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week

Location: Rotterdam, South Holland

Major Recruitment are partnering with this global food manufacturer and we are looking for a skilled Business Development Manager to join this highly successful team. This strategic role will be pivotal in driving the business success across the Northern European and UK markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will be responsible for a number of international (potential) key accounts in the food manufacturing and foodservice sectors with the aim of optimizing service and increasing the business in terms of revenue, market share and margin, focusing on the Northern European market, including the UK.

Building and maintaining excellent, sustainable and collaborative relationships with e.g. buyers, category managers, product developers and marketers at both with new and existing customers.
Drawing up sales plans, setting priorities per market and per customer and converting these into concrete actions and results.
Identifying and analysing new trends, markets and customers, pro-actively initiating opportunities and executing of action plans.
Negotiating prices, conditions and other delivery terms and conditions and recording these in agreements and contracts.
Responsible for broadening sales opportunities and identifying new market opportunities.
Developing volume in the B2B/ Horeca channel in EU.
Meeting the AOP volume targets annually and monthly.
Key Account management for the existing business.
Key Result Areas: 70% Business Development and 30% Key account management.What background and experience are the company looking for?

A minimum of 5 years Business Development / Sales in the food industry.
Experience with 'Mainstream B2B/Horeca' customers across Europe - e.g. major food manufacturers such as Getir, Hello Fresh, Bakkavor, FrieslandCampina, Hilton Hotels, Sheraton Hotels, Pilgrims, Greencore.
Good knowledge and experience of the B2B Mainstream market across the EU.
Proven experience of developing new business and building new relationships, as well as managing existing current accounts.***Relocation package to the Netherlands is available so candidates from other European countries are free to apply***
