Quality Manager

A leading manufacturer is looking to recruit a Quality Manager due to growth within the business.

If you are an experienced Quality Manager or an established Senior Quality Engineer looking for your next career move into a Quality Manager role then this is an opportunity not to miss!

Purpose of Role:

Supporting the Operations Director you will be responsible for the day to day management of the Quality function ensuring all products meet strict customer and company quality requirements.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required to be successful:

* Must have leadership/management experience

* Experience of driving quality improvements within an Automotive manufacturing environment

* Hands on working knowledge of APQP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans and SPC

* Customer and Supplier relationship management

* Prepared to travel UK & Overseas (occasional)

* Current Valid Passport (for overseas travel)

* Full Driving Licence

In the role of Quality Manager you will be responsible for:

* Managing Quality Team to ensure a professional and efficient service is provided to both internal & external customers

* Retain recognised Quality Standards, e.g. IATF16949, ISO14001 & ISO45001

* Represent the company on any Customer / Supplier visits

* Manage Audits and communicate required actions

* Implement, establish and maintain processes for the Quality Management Systems

* Provide the tools & training required to develop personnel to maximum potential

* Lead Quality improvement projects to eliminate scrap & rejects

* Develop & manage an audit programme and maintain schedule

* Report to Senior Management on the performance of the Quality Management System and advise on any improvements or changes required

* Ensure that customer requirements are understood across the business

* Undertake corrective and preventative actions

* Keep the business updated with any legislative changes to quality and environmental systems

* Support APQP Engineers with APQP Projects

* New Product Introduction (NPI)

The role is commutable from: Market Harborough, Leicester, Oadby, Wigston, Tamworth and Coventry
