Applications Engineer

A global manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Applications Engineer to join their team due to continued growth & expansion.

Purpose of Role:

The Applications Engineer will provide engineering expertise and support on the application of company products to specific projects and customers in Europe.

You will be responsible for identifying and providing reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge required to be successful:

* Experience in the Electrical Engineering field (which can be either Domestic or Commercial)

* Experience with power distribution products

* Familiar with International Electrical Certifications

* Able to undertake regular travel UK and Overseas

* Proficient with Microsoft Office

* Able to write and present technical data/information and communicate technically

* Customer facing experience with the ability to talk at technical level

In the role of Applications Engineer you will be responsible for:

* Design layouts of electrical products on customer drawings

* Create product technical documentation including technical briefs, reports and installation instructions

* Provide technical support to Sales & Customers both onsite & remotely as required on Product ratings, Compliance with IEC Codes & Standards, Safety, Functionality, Troubleshooting, Installation and pricing

* Onsite troubleshooting and rework

* Collaborate with certification laboratories such as VDE and international certification agencies

* Conduct product testing towards certifications & ratings

Friendly professional environment, a salary in the region of £45K-£50K + Market leading benefits

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

The role is commutable from: Maidenhead, Reading, Newbury, Basingstoke, Wokingham
