Position Summary The Diagnostic Technologist is a health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required General Radiographic and Fluoroscopic procedures provided in the hospital. Under general supervision, performs all routine diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within the scope of the Radiology Department, excluding Special Procedures such as angiography, nephrostomies, PTC, and CT studies. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the patients status in order to identify each patients age-specific needs. This position will assist in covering vacations, holidays and sick calls The qualified candidate will be able to work independently and without supervision. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job - Ability to produce quality in all aspects of x-ray imaging. - Ability to effectively communicate all pertinent patient information to the radiologist - Ability to evaluate the demands of physicians, patients, staff and superiors. - Ability to effectively identify and implement performance improvement techniques. - Ability to deliver quality customer service. Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience: - One year experience in all areas where routine diagnostic radiographic procedures are provided to include geriatric, adult, adolescent and neonate patient populations OR Student with clinical rotation completed at the hospital. Education/Licenses/Certifications: - CRT, required - ARRT Certification, required - California Fluoroscopy Certification, required - IV Certification, preferred - American Heart Association BLS Card, required United States-California-Fountain Valley Radiology, Imaging Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center Per Diem Regular Staff May 19, 2021, 4:19:58 PM 8/80 work shift hours (hospital) Variable Varies General Section
