Electric Motors - Fitters - Winders - Rotating equipment - Manchester

This is a great opportunity for Electric Motor Fitters and / or Winders to join a long established and successful multi-branch Electro-Mechanical engineering business specialising in electrical & mechanical fault-finding and repair.

With highly skilled electrical, machining & repair shops in-house, they are able to provide a complete turnkey repair & maintenance service on a wide range of rotating equipment. The company are happy to consider applications from candidates in the UK and also from the EU.

Based just off the M60 in NW Manchester, duties include the overhaul, rewinding and / or general repair of electric motors and other types of rotating equipment and includes the inspection and repair of units on site.


- Dismantle and assemble motors and other rotating equipment.

- Repair and / or rewind AC and DC motors for a wide range of types and sizes up to 1MW

- Attend site to test and analyse motors and generators in use, using standard industry equipment

Working Mon- Fri, (and occasional Saturdays), with occasional overtime and on call during busy periods. The role comes with a minimum day shift rate of £13.50 - £13.80/hr depending on experience, plus overtime at time and a half, or double time depending on circumstances, leading to an OTE circa £40k p.a.
