E3 Recruitment are proudly supporting a globally operating manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Tendering Engineer.

Employing over 15,000 across 180 sites spread across the world, this engineering giant are a true powerhouse in their specific fields and offer world-class products and services to customers spread across a variety of industries, including Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Chemical Processing, Food/FMCG Manufacturing.

Based just a few miles from the M1 & M62 motorways, the Leeds based facility is easily commutable from surrounding towns & cities including Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Pontefract, Castleford, Selby, Wetherby, Dewsbury and Halifax.

As Tendering Engineer you will be responsible for the production of tenders and provision of front-end sales support in respect of client enquiries in order to meet the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies. Take overall responsibility to ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1. Ensuring that the sales team are adequately supported and that projects are launched in a
timely and professional manner.
2. Evaluation of customer pump application requirements to ensure that the company is able to
satisfy customer needs in terms of both product and pricing.
3. Overall responsibility to ensure that initiated projects meet company requirements in terms of
selection, pricing, terms and conditions and lead time.
4. Overall responsibility to ensure that customer requirements are satisfied whilst meeting SPUK
8. Overall responsibility to ensure that Order Entry Documentation is completed in accordance
with handover guidelines, procedures and company KPI's.
9. Ensure that launch meetings with projects are effective and result in a smooth transition from
pre to post order status
10. Ensure application of relevant tools and policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice
11. Provision of data input to Salesforce, reporting for the Leeds office tenders.
12. Attend clarification meetings with clients as required.
13. Participate in and actively support company initiatives.
14. Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe
working, environmental protection and continual improvement.

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience as a Tendering Engineer within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment
Commercial acumen with previous experience working in a customer facing setting
Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills
Experience of dealing with complex tenders
Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment
General computer skills
Working Hours

37 Hours per week
