Diesel Mechanic

A, B or C Mechanic - $2,500 Sign on Bonus

Location - Bakersfield, CA

Coach USA has new and exciting career opportunities for Mechanics at our Bakersfield, CA location. We are looking for a diesel mechanic to repair and inspect company equipment in a cost effective, safe, and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

·       Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other breakdowns or failures.

·       Complete A, B, SPAB services and annual inspections

·       Adjust, repair, replace and/or service lights and other electronic/electrical parts as needed.

·       Adjust, repair, replace and/or service any system or part on vehicle as needed.

·       AC system service as needed.

·       Change and replace tires and wheels.

·       Routine and preventative maintenance

·       Complete paperwork as required

·       Basic computer skills.

Qualifications:

·       Working knowledge of diesel engines.

·       Experience in the transportation industry.

·       Must have a valid driver’s license – commercial license a plus.

·       Must pass a pre-employment physical and criminal background check.

·       Ability to work weekends and holidays.

·       Ability to communicate in English.

·       Must have own tools.

·       Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

·       Possess ASE and HVAC Certifications preferred.

·       Computer skills a plus, but training is provided.
