Senior Marketing Analyst

Position Purpose: The Senior Marketing Analyst will research, analyze and report on marketing acquisition data to support the strategy and business management of specific Health Net lines of business.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by tracking campaign response and providing feedback of findings with actionable recommendations for performance improvements.

- Extract and analyze data from multiple sources in order to research anomalies in campaign response metrics.

- Develop and maintain planning tools to measure key performance metrics by media and distribution channels. This may include response curves, ROI forecasts and test plans.

- Research campaign related inquires that may include print quantity estimates for Direct Mail campaigns, issues related to how a contact list was developed or lead handling from inside sales.

- Periodic evaluation of media response attribution and record matching logic to enable accurate capture of media driven leads and sales.

- Presentation of marketing initiatives, research findings and campaign results to senior leadership.

- Maintain relationship with internal operational departments and outside vendors to effectively develop all components of the marketing and advertising plan strategies.

Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or related field. Minimum four to six years of data extraction, reporting and analysis in a professional environment. Minimum of two years of direct to consumer (B2C) marketing, which includes direct mail and search engine marketing (SEM). Knowledge of Health Insurance Industry or a government regulated industry a plus.

Preferred skills:

Strong SQL and data manipulation skills

Expert Excel level (able to understand any spreadsheets)

Strong presentation skills

Must be able to deliver complete analysis from scratch

Should be comfortable working with any level of leadership

Must be willing to support regular reporting in addition to ad-hoc research

Nice to have:

Teradata experience

Solid Statistical knowledge with SAS, SPSS, or other tool exposure

Healthcare experience (2+ years)

Tableau & /or Microstrategy
