A busy weekly & monthly Payroll function, with responsibility for managing and developing a team of 6 staff.

Client Details

A global business based in the Kingston upon Thames area.

Parking is not available so please ensure that you can commute to Kingston either via public transport, of factor the cost of parking in to the package. There are certain residential roads with free parking but involve a short walk.

Please note - there is scope, after of 6 months of settling in to the role, to work 1-2 days per week from home.


The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the following;

Ensuring the accurate & timely completion of weekly & monthly payrolls for the UK & Ireland
Managing and up-skilling a team of 6 staff
Reviewing & improving payroll systems & processes to ensure the highest levels of accuracy can always be achieved
Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and prompt completion of HMRC & other statutory returns


The ideal candidate for the Payroll Manager role:

MUST have strong staff management experience
Ability to demonstrate performance improvement with previous team
Comprehensive understanding of all payroll & relevant taxation processes including statutory payments & reporting requirements

Extensive experience of working with high-volume, variable weekly payrolls (as well as monthly Payroll experience)

Direct experience of making process improvements or system changes

Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookup formulas) to analyse large data volumes & perform calculations

Must live within a commutable distance of Kingston upon ThamesJob Offer

The Payroll Manager roles offers a salary of £45-55,000, dependent on level of experience, plus benefits including health care, pension, life insurance, season ticket loan, and discount vouchers
