We are looking for a Maths Teacher to join the team at a Secondary School in Oadby. The school needs a Maths Teacher to teach Maths to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role is to start January 2021 on a long-term basis, this role could be made permanent for the right candidate.
About the School:
The school is a co-educational secondary school for children aged between 11 and 16. The school offers excellent academic and extra-curricular activities to ensure children are well rounded and supported. Their ambition is to ensure that at the end of that journey, every student is ready to take their place in society as positive, purposeful, ethical and well qualified individuals.
About the Role:
The successful Maths Teacher will have experience of teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4. They will be able to effectively plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons ensuring pupils make good progress from their starting points. The Maths Teacher will be working alongside a supportive and high functioning Maths department and will be expected and desired to work as part of a team.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a proficient and exemplary Maths Teacher who has high expectations of self and others and is passionate about encouraging all pupils to achieve the best to the best of their ability. We want someone with excellent classroom management skills and a can-do attitude, who teaches with an enthusiastic and dedicated approach. You will have successful experience as a Maths Teacher and of working with children with challenging behaviour helping them achieve better results.
Key Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher
* Secure a high quality of teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the curriculum leaders, and school leaders.
* Teach a Maths to a KS3 and KS4 to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.
* Support and encourage children into achieving the best results they can.
* In consultation with the Head Teacher to undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.
