The Company

We are recruiting for a Junior Editor for our creative client in Northampton. This role is covering and supporting a very busy team, in the heart of Northamptonshire. This is for a well-established, outgoing and friendly company.

The Job

Editorially develop and co-ordinate a range of editorial items.
Research, write, copy-edit, proofread and sign-off
Make sure all files meet standards for editorial accuracy and quality during all stages
Make sure all editorial items are produced to house style and fulfil the in-house brief
Project-manage the items in tandem with clients, making sure key milestones are kept and final files are supplied on time
Manage, brief and coordinate 3rd party suppliers
Problem solve and, if required, escalate problems in the correct manner and in good time to allow schedules to be hit
The Ideal Candidate

A good understanding of the editorial process (educated to a degree level in English)
Experience in copy-editing and proofreading skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and support others
Excellent communicator
A dynamic, proactive team player
The Package

9am - 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch
28 days + bank holidays
Pension - 4% employee contribution and 4% employer
