Candidates sought who live in the Southern Peterborough, Cambridge, M11 Corridor areas.
A leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of specialist ventilation equipment for the Academic, Forensic and Industrial sectors is now seeking an Installation and Service Engineer to support their continued growth.
Working from your home, returning home most evenings, with 10-20% time requiring stay away from home, this is a field based role. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and repairing of fume cabinets and laboratory furniture.
You will also be installing ductwork (PVC/Polypropylene) and provide post-installation training for customers and perform on-site risk assessments.
Initially you will be working alongside an experienced Engineer, although once trained you will work mainly on your own, and with other colleagues as required.
Working within Cambridge, Peterborough, M11 and surrounding area, there will be occasional requirements for you to stay overnight, though the aim is for you to return home most evenings.

Qualifications:
As the successful Installation and Service Engineer you should hold at least an NVQ in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or similar.
A recognised Electrical qualification such as 16th/17th/18th Edition Electrical is preferred, though not essential.
Experience:
Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar environment and/or experience servicing and installing medical devices, lab equipment or air conditioning units.
To succeed in this role you will have gained experience installing new equipment such as PVC/Polypropylene Ducting and welding.
Experience with filtration fume cupboards or HVAC systems is desirable, however product training will be provided.
Additional Information:
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Passport and Visa will be requested for verification.
Candidates MUST hold a full clean driving licence and be able to pass Enhanced DBS & Police Authority Checks.
