Job Summary



As a Solutions Engineer in NetApps Sales function, you are responsible for providing pre-sales support for selling NetApps whole Portfolio of Products to existing and potential customers. You will act as a key member of the customer-facing team and would be responsible for aligning NetApp services and capabilities with customer objectives, representing the NetApp service portfolio and value proposition to prospective customers, and contributing to the overall sales and business development strategy for supported markets.

You will utilize your excellent technical and relationship building skills in working with other vendors, partners and NetApp resources to ensure that optimum solutions are provided to customers for todays hybrid data center needs. Do you have a knack for helping an organization to understand application architectures and integration approaches, to architect advanced solutions, and to help drive the sales and initial build-out of those systems?

Essential Functions:



- Building and maintaining technical trusted advisor relationships with influential technical decision makers for the successful adoption and deployment of NetApp services and technologies



- Define all of the elements of a customers business, technical and cloud IT needs.



- Provide technical designs and support to current customer and try-and-buy test projects.



- Attend customer calls on your own and with your Sales Representatives



- Provide technical consultation and disseminate product information to the sales team.



Job Requirements



- Excellent written and verbal communication skills



- Ability to open new markets and acquire new logos, drive pipeline generation activities and convert pipeline to revenue



- Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills are needed in order work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross functional teams to meet performance goals.



- Account management and project management experience.



- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer facing environment.



- Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.



- Creative approach to problem solving.



- Have an understanding of use cases for Hybrid Cloud and Hyper-scaler solutions preferred



- Travel to the prospective customers sites as necessary



Education



- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
