Reporting to: Operations Manager

My client is an expanding manufacturing company near Sandy in Cambridgeshire and they are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to support the management team with all aspects of the Supply Chain process.

On time equipment delivery
•Keeping up to date with the status of all projects in manufacturing and identifying any hold ups, particularly on key projects.
•Chasing drawings and bought in parts
•Preparing for and attending weekly progress meeting
•Planning and prioritising
Team Management
•Line manage team members in Purchasing and Stores
•Assisting with Recruitment
•Carrying out annual performance reviews
•Deal with day-to-day personnel issues, referring to the Operations Manager or Personnel Director where appropriate
•Setting clear objectives and communicate deadlines and priorities and follow up to ensure tasks are completed
Parts Database
•Overseeing the management of the Parts Database
•Line Manage the Database Technician to ensure high accuracy of parts information
Processes and Procedures
•Ensure that procedures are followed
•Ensure that work is being carried out in priority order
•Ensure stock levels are appropriate and stock accuracy is maintained, as well as organising and preparing for stock takes
•Organising the efficient flow of work through the stores maintaining housekeeping and keeping the area clutter free
•Maintain and develop written Quality Procedures
•Ensure the Quality Procedures are followed
•Monitor supplier quality and ensure parts received are of a consistent high standard
